As you can see on the image to the left it shows my edit of my production logo I made separately from my group on Photoshop. I decided to shorted my surname and have my logo as Tunders Productions; Tunders is, like I said, short for my surname. My logo design was just for the fact so that I can learn on my logo editing skills, because my film genres are action and my logo design has nothing to do with action I thought it be best that I justify why it is more calm and peaceful suppose to being full of danger.

We were given the task of having to create the sound of an explosion by natural ambient sound. As a group we explored our school for sounds which we could use for an explosion, we used the music department to use the drum kit. We used the DT department of chopping wood in half. Amid, jumped a flight of stairs so that we could capture the sound of him hitting the floor. On a few occasions Mark would throw his iPad to the floor or scrap it against the outside walls of our school building, and also hitting it against a lamp post.
As a group we will combined our creativity to create sounds for our short film. We have done some research on a few films to find out how most of the sounds are created, for example; Inception uses organic sounds in order to manipulate the audience. When They are both sat outside the café and the world around them come crashing down, there are 3 different layers which went into making the great sound of that scene; the literal things we see happening around them), the subtext sound ( the sound which is the energy causing all this to happen) and then the organic sound, Whale moans.
Like Inception, we will use organic sounds to create the fear and terror into our film. Using the busy streets of London to create a scene of normality, for the gunshots we can use sound effectors or create the sound ourselves, usually the most common way to create a gunshot sound would be to stamp on a carton of juice which would be organic and create a good enough sound effect for a gunshot, especially if we create the sound under the alleyway bridge because the sound will echo creating more tension.

The script was the most time consuming process in which went into creating our project, because the script being written and ready for filming means that we would not have to come up with ideas and the time, instead we could perfect our acting, lighting and camera techniques.
In the final script it starts different to the way I had filmed the first scene in my own version, in my own version I had Melina walking down Broadway market with loads of people surrounding her because to me, it felt more realistic. Once Melina begins to walk down the abandoned alleyway she realises she is not alone, that there are two men standing at the other end of the alleyway, staring at her. We stuck to the script when it came to speaking and the actions being made, obviously apart from my own version when I changed Melina from walking down the alleyway to begin with, to walking along Broadway market towards the alleyway.
When Ethan arrives at the scene there is more said by Melina than the script shows, this is because we gave Melina a chance to use her initiative to scream words at all men to stop fighting, to make the scene all the more realistic and dramatic. Overall, we stuck to the script the best we could; there were some parts in the short film were we did not stick completely to the script but that's because whilst filming other, better, ideas came to mind and worked best.

Health and Safety On Location
Location safety mainly resolves around 'trips, slips and hazards'. Each location must be assessed by
the production team to ascertain hazards and where possible to control these to reduce any injury
resulting from an incident, especially to any member of the public. The production team, should
work within the framework of the Health and Safety at Work Act, and where reasonably practicable,
take steps to ensure the safety of themselves and others around them.
The following health and safety considerations should be taken into account before, during and after
film projects.
Carry out a visit to the location to discuss arrangements with the customer, requesting
where necessary, permission for access and right to take photographs
Carry out a risk assessment particular to the areas where the crew may wish to record. You
may wish to create a risk assessment form to document this and get the relevant people to
sign it ( e.g. the person carrying out the assessment and the owner of the property)
Ensure that where necessary the location has adequate fire precautions and signage in place visioncreate.tv – 2011/2012
Consult with the owner, where necessary, of the location on any risk assessment they may
have carried out and what actions were required and have these been effectively
implemented
Share with the crew any health and safety concerns and, if necessary, the location
management
Ensure that all equipment is maintained and safe to use, especially electrical equipment
Ensure that all production team members are trained to use equipment safely
Take precautions to minimise any identified potential problems related to safety affecting
the production and to any other people at the location.
visioncreate.tv has included is a visual reference chart for three step risk assessments at the end of
this guide to help you get started. We recommend you print it out and refer to it regularly whilst on
location.
Health and Safety in The Vision Create TV Studio
There are several risk assessments that visioncreate.tv has undertaken in relation to the studio and
provide training for. These include:
- fire precautions
- using display screen equipment (DSE)
- manual handling
o control of substances hazardous to health (COSHH).
Fire precautions relate to having adequate types of fire extinguishers, which must be regularly
serviced; displaying escape and emergency signage and ensuring escape routes are free from
obstructions.
With the increased use of computers and digital equipment for manipulating images it is essential to
consider the people who use display screen equipment (DSE) for long periods of time. It is very
important to ensure that the computer, the workstation and the working environment meet current
safety regulations, to lessen the possibility of wrist and eye strain.
Most crew members will, at some time, have to lift reasonably heavy and bulky equipment, such as
lighting. A risk assessment will highlight the potential damage to the human torso, which may result
in long-term absence from work. Manual handling training can help people to store equipment at
correct heights and how to lift objects. Also, a risk assessment can indicate where mechanical aids
such as trolleys can be of help.
With the advent of digital imaging in the industry, chemicals for processing and printing (wet
processing) are not so widely used. There are however certain products used which are hazardous,
for example, batteries and printer ink cartridges, along with industrial cleaning substances. These
should all be listed as required by COSHH on a risk assessment.
Electrical safety is also very important. All electrical equipment such as lighting equipment should be
tested (usually referred to as portable appliance testing) at specified intervals. The electrical wiring
installation of the studio facilities also requires testing at specified intervals. A competent person
should carry out all testing and records of these tests must be kept.

Idea's and Inspirations
As a group project we have all decided to gather inspiring ideas from 'Taken 1 & 2' because we intend on making our short film have the same scenario as Taken 1, were the daughter gets kidnapped and her father hunts for her and kills the men who have held her hostage but in our short film we are not going to make our leading man kill anyone, we are going to have him hunt for his girlfriend and beat up her kidnappers instead; this way its more realistic for us to film.
Liam Neeson, who plays Bryan Mills in Taken, is our inspiration because he plays such a great character; a wise older man who will go through the ends of the earth to find his daughter and make sure she is safe. We intend on making Ethan Steal wise and strong, caring and persistent however, when he finds Melina he wont kill the thugs he will just beat them up quite badly.
